Riga is one of the few European cities that preserved rich heritage of jugend-style in architecture, art and design . The capital of Latvia is often called the Parent State of jugend-style. There are about 800 buildings of that age the majority of which are located in the center of the city at the proximity of Albert Street. The jugend-style museum is located in the city center in the apartment where Konstantīns Pēkšēns an outstanding Latvian architect used to live until 1907.
Interior of the year 1903 is completely restored up to finest details, like doorknobs and window handles. Wall and ceiling paintings, stained-glass windows, kitchen tiles, oak wall panels, everything is restored, artworks, clothes and authentic objects of the age are collected, so the visitors may feel themselves real Riga citizens of the early last century.
